HOW TO START – Writing a Process

Have you ever sat down to write a process and thought to yourself; “How do I start?

How can you get processes implemented if you’re not sure how to get started?

It’s actually fairly straight forward and in the video below I’ll walk you through the 5 basic steps. The key is to make sure you’re not trying to capture too much in one process.

In summary, when writing a process, follow these simple steps:
1. Give the Process a Name (3,4,5 words)
2. Write an objective, purpose or result (a sentence or 2)
3. Start with the question: How does it start?
4. Then ask: what happens next – repeat – simple, clear, concise
5. Finally, are there any standards or expectations
