The Business Builders Program
The goal of the Business Builders Program is to create the systemic infrastructure of your business. If you were building a house, the first thing you would do is hire an architect to create a rendering of the home you intend to build and then you would get a blueprint, a set of instructions for how to build that home. Could you imagine successfully building a house any other way?
That's what we do in this Program. We:
- Create a written document describing the business you intend to build - the business that you plan to exit from. In essence, it is your exit strategy. We call this your Strategic Target
- Create the Key Strategic Indicators used to track your progress towards that target
- Create a Dynamic Organization chart of your future business
- Create a Profitability Plan - before you start to build your dream business, you need to confirm it is a viable opportunity. With the profitability plan, we'll estimate the fixed and variable expenses of your Strategic Target, including human resources, and estimate the profit potential.
- Create the Business Process List - identify and organize a list of all of the systems needed to have your business functioning as a well-oiled and profitable enterprise.
- Link all of the processes in the systems database to specific positions on your dynamic organizational chart to create clear and measurable Job Descriptions for each position in your business
- Create a prioritized Systems Development Plan for the documentation of your business processes
In this program you also learn:
- how to effectively delegate to other employees and sub-contractors in such a way that you'll receive consistent and reliable results to your expectations
- how to write an operating procedure
- how to implement processes in your business - how to get your people to do what you need and expect them to do
We take you step-by-step through the business systemization process in a carefully laid out easy-to-understand format. You have access to your own TouchStone Business account - a web-based systems development and implementation tool that makes it easy to consistently create, organize, store and implement your procedures. You have access to a template of process names, many of which are pre-written, that you can edit and put to use immediately in your business.
The program usually takes two months to complete, meeting once weekly. Meetings are done over the telephone and on-line and last approximately 1hr. In each meeting we introduce a specific element of the program, describe it's importance and relevance and get you started on it's development. Throughout the week you're expected to complete an assignment - usually a 2 to 3 hr task. You have unlimited access to your consultant between meetings for questions regarding the assignment.
